My Faith

Once for all delivered to the saints

The crucified God is for me!
— John Stott

From ancient creeds to more contemporary confessions, along with manuals for public worship, these documents aptly summarize my faith in my precious Lord Jesus who died for me. They offer helpful expressions of the Christian faith in their various ancient, reformed, and evangelical expressions.*

*NOTE: While the content of these confessions may differ slightly from one another, their emphases, central theses, and overarching themes paint a cohesive and beautiful portrait of balanced, biblical, well-proportioned, and historic evangelical Christianity. Each of these documents offer gospel clarity, cohesive theology, and confessional guardrails in their own unique way. The well-known aphorism “In essentials unity, in non-essentials liberty, in all things charity” summarizes my own approach to the theological task. Questions? Contact David here.

*I am a licensed evangelist in Missio Mosaic: A Missional Society. Missio Mosaic is a recognized missional society within the Anglican Mission, a global and evangelical body. Missio Mosaic also partners with the National Association of Evangelicals. As a missional society with an ecumenical scope, Missio Mosaic partners with individuals and local churches from various reformed, evangelical, and sacramental backgrounds in providing networking opportunities, ordination and chaplaincy pathways, and missional training. Learn more about Missio Mosaic here.

I also maintain a free-church ministerial licensure from Cornerstone Baptist Church in Arlington, TX: one of the nation’s largest African American Southern Baptist churches. My license authorizes me to teach, preach, “marry and bury,” and fulfill other pastoral ministries in a free church context.

My dual licensure enables me to share the Good News of Jesus in a variety of local church contexts and demonstrates my heart for both racial and ecclesiastical unity in the Body of Christ.
